In my experience, this is the best out of the Black Maple Hill vintages. The older expressions have lost some of the punch, and the younger "Small Batch" pales in comparison for nearly the same price.
n: maple pancake syrup on warm pancakes, dark brown sugar, cinnamon.
t: creamy and delicious, this is such a nice sippin' whiskey. Has a bit of cinnamon red hot candy, cola syrup, and a oaked vanilla heart. Long charred oak finish with a chewy burn to it.
Nose has juniper notes. Palate is sweet and candy-like with some light butterscotch notes. Finish is sweet without much else. Whole thing is a bit thin.
