By design, the Los Angeles Whisk(e)y Society is a very private and small group. Membership is by invitation only. New attendees are nominated by existing members. They begin as "Alternates," eventually becoming eligible for full membership.

 

We know this may sound snooty. But actually, we're pretty easygoing (the occasional formalities on this website are tongue-in-cheek, folks). LAWS is really just an extended network of friends. Those friends invite other friends to join, when space permits and everyone else approves. Plus, our bar is designed for small, focused meetings -- so membership must stay capped and limited.
