Nose is light with bright fruits, notably oranges. Various taffy and toffee notes, coconut, and anise for sure. On the first few sips, the palate is fruitier (with Jolly Rancher watermelon) and notably sweet. Then there are vanillas, coconuts... and after a minute with the glass, that anise that was in the nose starts to dominate the flavor in a decent way (if you like black licorice) with mild spices. Finish is long and continues the theme. This is a sort of black-licorice fruit confection, with a side of oak. Good stuff. B/B+
