Since the distillery was basically mothballed from 1994 to 2004, the 12 year became short in supply, and in 2006 it was supplanted by a 14 year.  Though the 12 year retailed for about $40, it's a bit of a collector's item now, making the price arguable.

Nose is fresh green apples, with wisps of men's cologne.  Palate is light-bodied and watery, fruity, floral, with spice.  Finishes as before at medium-length, but with an increased spice kick that keeps me coming back.  This is a good, easy, sunny afternoon whisky.

N: Caramel, solvent, white cake frosting.
P: Dry, white wine, fruity, nothing else that jumps out.
F: Very woody.  Too woody.
