Deanston is now the only distillery in Scotland to be self-sufficient in electricity, with power generated by an on-site hydro-energy facility. 

n: honeycomb wax and lavender initially. Green apple streusel with white sugar frosting and nutmeg.

t: surprisingly good, follows the nose with spiced apple cider and a sourdough malt in the middle. Very bright and spicy that moves to citrus sugar and finishes oaky.

Conversation whisky; I really enjoyed this and was pleasantly surprised in the flavor depth and high ABV. Very promising!
