Member Ratings and Notes
Nose: Rich bourbon notes, lots of oak, very dry
Palate: Very woody and tannic with cardboard notes. A bit harsh. Then some nice rye notes emerge but fade quickly.
Finish: Bitter.
Candy corn nose, with varnish, oak, hint of mint? The palate, ooh, it's nice and rich, with the flavors you'd expect from the nose. Kind of a "burnt" flavor... prunes and stewed fruits, overcooked banana bread. Buttery. The wood here does come too much after time -- it's overoaked -- but it's not bad stuff. Were this available today I'd happily drink your bottle.

n:  Oil and leather

p:  Pine sap.  Delicious.

N: Turpentine with rich woody notes, rather dichotomous. Some spice cake. Nose opens up and gets better with time.

P: Very big with lots of wood, chewy, tannic.
F: Hint of chocolate lingers in the finish.

N: Candy caramel

P: Bitter, but also balances nicely with the very sweet candied flavor.

F: Candied apple.

Love the flavor profile of some of these oldies.
