Member Ratings and Notes

Nose: Very rich and oaky with some spice.

Palate: Massive wood notes, like licking the inside of the barrel, some burnt caramel, some wood spice.

Finish: Chewy wood.

Many would consider this over oaked, but I'm a wood fiend, so I like it, though it's so heavy on the wood that it pretty much covers up most of the rye characteristics.  I wouldn't put it in the same league with some of it's contemporaries (Rathskeller or LeNell's) but it's tasty nonetheless.
