The nose is young rye with all of its vegetal qualities. The palate begins with huge sugar-syrupy sweetness, then raw and vegetal young rye notes. The finish is rye dominated as well.
This is simplistic, syrupy and vegetal, but it kind of works and the sweetness gives it more balance than Redemption Rye. Intellectually, I give it a C+, but it's easy enough to drink to bump it up to a B-.
One thing I appreciate about the Redemption line is the price. In a world of so many high priced LDI products, this one is actually right where it should be.
