I love the nose on this with chocolate, sherry and dried cherries. The palate is sweet with chocolate notes. The finish is sweet sherry fumes. Not a huge amount of complexity but a pleasant sherried malt.
n: vanilla malt cookies, milk chocolate, and maraschino cherries.
t: initial is raspberry balsamic vinegar with young red-berry sweetness and a lot of cocoa powder. Weird flat spice to this and more of a jello-style sherry influence in the taste of this (think clear gelatin). Strawberry gum, vanilla nougat, peach, cobbler; runs flat into the middle. Sherry aspect has been diminished in current release. Golden cherry, marzipan powder, and coco dust are main aspects. [B-/C+]
