These batches do change and I tried this H2H2H with 18 & 21.  The 18 was the best (I hear 20 was over the top) and 23 was about the same as this.  Same general qualities but less huge sherry than the others.  The meatiness was there but very feint.  I still love these and without water they are still very drinkable.  A nice sherry bomb.

N: Chocolate style sherry, some meaty aspects, like the Chinese dish "Orange Beef".
P: Medium dry, cherry cough drop sherry.  Very big on flavor.
F: Long but quite burning, the abv isn't handled as well as in other batches.

Typical bitter sherry.  Fast finish B

Sherry bomb.  But lots of jammy raisiny sweetness here.
Ries

n: darker cherry and dry dark cocoa, tahitian vanilla bean, crème brûlée, and tanned leather.

t: upfront this is very intense with the dark sherry oak and leather. Strawberry jam and butterscotch. Warming and some mint in the full-bodied finish. One of my favourite batches!  [B+/A-]
