Lightly sweet (toffee aspects) and fruity, with cider notes, and definite cinnamon with other light spice.  This is a whisky that's a lighter, easy-drinker, but it achieves that without loss of depth.  Yummm.

N: Very light sherry, raisins, syrupy. Light floweriness, clean spring morning air (an unusual scent in LA). A hint of french toast and apples.

P: Gentle heat, very light, syrupy mouthfeel, light spice and sherry.

F: Very light and sweet. Relatively quick finish with a hint of creme brulee.

Totally drinkable and fun but not one that'll you'll remember for ages.

N: Lemon water, dilute black tea, honey covered biscuits and toffee.
P: Very oily to start (olive oil) with citrus and a weird sour acidity that is chemical-y and industrial.
F:  Medium finish.  Brown fruit mixed in with an awkward metallic bitterness.

This profile reminds me of the old dumpy cadenhead bottles.

Ries

n: nice malty and complex nose of deep fruit, cinnamon, clove, and vanilla cake batter.

t: Tobaco leaf, green grass, and dark vanilla notes. More of a bourbon cask influence and a mineral finish.

n:  Sweet.  Prune candy?

p:  Thin.  Raisins and pear juice (like in a Capri Sun).  Good, but so gentle you really have to be careful not to lose this one around stronger whiskies.
