Nose is quite malty, some cedar, and sherry.  A little acrid, yet still sweet and inviting.  Palate is sweet and rich, with waves of honeyed malty-ness (with those Whoppers malted-milk kind of malt aspects I often find in Bushmills).   Sherry is constant at a restrained level. Wisps of background spice float in and out.  Finish is longish and continues the theme.  A splash or two of water doesn't seem to do any harm, and takes some of the fire off. This is on the fuller and richer side for an Irish Whiskey, but still incredibly drinkable.   I really like this!
