Nose of vanilla, honey, caramel, maybe spice. Palate is quite sweet, with vanilla, caramel, and spice again, with quite a bit of wood -- the mouthfeel is decidedly tannic. In the finish, spice moves to the forefront, sort of a cinnamon spice. Interesting to try, but not to buy.
N: Peanuts, light apricot, nectary sweetness. P: Very woody, spicy, dear god this is woody, tastes like a toungue depressor. F: People are always talking about how old whiskies get too woody, but up to now my experience has not reflected that. Most of the old stuff I've had has been real good. Well, my luck ran out.
