Delightful and delicious, moderately peated, with honey.  Cocoa lingers in the semi-long finish.

N: Sweet honey and heather with the right dash of smoke.
P: Smokey malt, spice, lighter on the palate than the 18.
F: Some dry oak creeps in, a little less than perfect.
I've tried this previously and was more impressed, I recall the finish being a bit sweeter (and better).   Look for an older bottling, I think it used to be a tad better.

2014 era release (45.7% ABV)

n: Faint. Water with a couple of lemons thrown in. Hint of phosphates.

p: Honeyed lemon (sans sweetness). Almost bland. Bitter toffee. Tad oily.

Comparison to HP25 Round and Sloped: This doesn't meet their bar. An unworthy grandchild of a fine line.

Bourbon sweetness. Toffee, peanut brittle, fresh cut marble, orange marmalade and stale white wine.  Honestly it's kind of flat.

Better on the palate. The fruit is vibrant and expressive.  Tropical fruit (mango and pineapple) mid palate.

Finish gets to be stale and drops quickly.
