The spicy apple backbone from younger versions has been nicely layered with rich sherry notes.    Quite tasty.

Nose is fruity and gentle.  Palate is richer than the nose advertises, sweet and sherried, with cashews and other nuts.  Long finish.  This has a great mouthfeel, smooth and filling, and yummy!  A massively drinkable caramel delight.  (Batch 0508B reviewed)

Fuity peach on the nose and palate.  Livelier and less harsh than it's younger expressions.

A much more bright and exciting malt than t=the others.  All of the fruits and malts are there and some more of the Sherry which I like in these Glenlivets.  Better than the 18 but not worth the extra cash.

Nose is thin, dark fruit.  Palate has some bitter fruit flavors. Finsih is bitter dark chocolate.  I was expecting more.

Blind taste:

N: Toffee, citrus, nutty with spices in the background

P: Bright green fruits, toffee, citrus zest, white peppers

F: Astringent fruit tea on the lingering finish

Nose and palate matched and there is a long lingering finish that is nice.  But the flavors and aromas were faint.  I would love to try this at cask strength.  I imagine it would have the "oomph" I was looking for.

Medium-dark orange color. The nose is delicate, with hints of citrus and honey. The tongue is also light, with the elements of the nose carrying over. Not overly complex, but fairly well rounded malt. The aftertaste is slightly oakey. The finish fades quickly. I tasted Batch #0212J. [1/20/13]
