I don't get a lot from the nose -- white wine and smoke mostly.  The palate is tasty -- mostly smoke with distinct but not overwhelming sweetness -- and spice, along with brine.  Finishes at length, with salt lingering for a while.  Though the proof is high, this tastes fine to me at full strength, though there is some challenging heat (that I enjoy).  A little water tames the flames, heightens the sweetness, but also flattens out some of the other dimensions -- I think I prefer it undiluted.  A tasty one, either way.  B+/A-

Blind:

N: Warm syrup, nutty, wet hay, peat and wood shavings

P: Briney with citrus and toasted bread

F: Black licorice with the bitterness sticking to the back of your tongue.  Just a bit hot but very yummy!
