Nice smokey nose, lots of briny peat and spice, eminently drinkable.

Anticipated smokey nose.  Palate is salty and sweet, and the smoke that's here is quite restrained.  In the medium-long finish, some "fresh" mouthfeel emerges (minty/shiso sort of).  Drinks smoothly, good but not great.

Nose: Seabreeze, nutmeg, orange

Taste:  Briney, moldy

A bouquet of flowers on the ocean front. Maritime notes mix the underlying vanilla and warm maple syrup sweetness. White peppers give this a bit of spice and a whiff of ashy smoke can also be found. Warm and oily on the palate. The syrupy sweetness starts and carries on to the finish. Smoked black teas contrast with citrus and green fruits. Gets a bit bitter and waxy (black licorice) in the mid palate. Finishes very light and dry with nutmeg and dark tea.

Nice and easy drinking, but the bitterness was not welcome. The finish was also too light, there were times I thought it dropped off a cliff.
