Nose of shoe polish and peat.  Taste of some sweetness, peat, medium-full bodied.  Overall, kind of one-dimensional, but nevertheless interesting.  Rumor has it this is Lagavulin and it almost has to be.

Nose: tequila and peat, not inviting.  Palate quiet then crescendo of peat, but not warm and friendly.  Simple, steady, one-note, not complex.  Balance is too balanced, uninteresting.

N: Peat, pretzels (with salt and pepper on it).  Peppercorns, brine.
P: Big smoke and peat, sweet for a second but then goes dry and sooty...
F:  ...and the theme continues in the finish.
