25 Year Old, Batch 7, 50.6%ABV:

n: black prunes, deep malty vanilla cream. Touch of funky vanilla oak with dark cocoa powder. Apricots and damp earthen basement.

t: golden cherries dipped in semi-sweet chocolate, Luxardo syrup on caramel cookie wafers. Middle is chewy with with walnut bread, butterscotch, and vibrant sour-ish golden cherry. I'm torn with this one - while it is pleasant and easy to drink, it doesn't offer something that memorable to justify the expense. It starts out great, but falls flat overall. [B/B+]

24 Year Old, Batch 9, 48.7%ABV:

n: juicy fig, dark vanilla, resin, and leather. Very sweet and fruity but with that old sherry cask balsamic note. Candle wax, bread dough, and hazelnut.

t: candied cherries with caramel and tart chocolate. Sweetness is tempered by the tannic oak which is nice. This is very tasty but not overly complex. Black tea, light mint, and cinnamon sticks in chocolate orange finish. One of the better releases. [B+/A-]
