Ries

n: milk chocolate covered vanilla cherries. Goes into toasted coconut cream pie with a burnt crust.

t: salted black cherries wrapped in seaweed paper. Cocoa powdered fruitcake with a nice sweet peat smoke in the middle. Prunes and dried red berries dipped in ponzu sauce for the finish.

Very unique and interesting, I love the creativity and depth of flavours in this one. Could be polarizing because this is an unusual whisky.

Spicy nose with vicks vapor rub (Mentholated young cherry stuff).  Toasted french baguette smothered in berry fruit jam.  Some funky sour sherry notes appear. The funky sour sherry stuff hits initially on the palate and it’s unpleasant (for me). Cherry cough drop, smoke and tar. The stale sherry stuff runs all the way through to the finish alongside black licorice.

n: Fresh furniture

p:  Spanish cedar with incense burning.  Odd but good
