n: faint cherry syrup

p: A tad less sweet than the other batches.  White pepper with a hint of cough syrup.  A deviation from the last few batches I've tasted.  Less emphasis on sherry but still decent.

Lots of alcohol vapors initially.  It's very nutty.  Stale trail mix and stale almond honey oat cereal. The sherry doesn't pop like older batches. The red fruit lingers and smells of cherry hard candy/ cough drops. The sherry shows alot better on the palate (thankfully). A bit of spicy heat emerges mid palate along with some staleness. Long lingering finish of sour cherry and bitter wax.

Tasted Completely blind.  My notes indicate:  Nose: Cream sherry and sweet butter. Mouth: Butter cream busquits and nice long toffee in the finish.

One of the better Batches IMHO.

Ries

n: sweet cherry milk chocolates. Cocoa and vanilla caramels. Meaty dark cherries and dried red fruit.

t: follow the nose with a nice cherry and chocolate profile. Middle is more like cherry cough syrup and dense. This is christmas cherry chocolates with a ton of alcohol. A nice sherry bomb; the pedigree shows with the cask choice and I enjoyed this.
