I did this one side by side with the 2012 and as expected there are a lot of similarities and not a lot of differences. Probably more to do with the fact my bottle had been opened awhile, I thought the nose was clearer on the 2012 with the 2013 being slightly muted (especially in the first 20-30 minutes or so). With that said, the similair rye/grassy notes dominated. Very earthy. The palate is balanced between the same grass/rye notes and some spice. Nice long finish. [11/24/2013]

Big spicy kick with buttered popcorn and warm fresh baked bread. A hint of potpourri lingers.  Taste stale and tired. The rye seems a bit stagnant and mute. Medium finish with sweet vanilla oil.

n: brown sugar, baked rhubarb tart, baked apple with alot of cinnamon. Quite warm and spicy, caramel covered popcorn ball. Rye with a nice strong presence but not overpowering. Great nose with a bit of fresh dill.

t: follows the nose, with a nice initial spice and then tapers to a vanilla cream. Middle gets some spring time straw, wheat bread, and cardboard. Finishes with fresh dill and spiced chai tea latte. Great tasting super easy to drink.   [B/B+]
