Obviously sherried but not the dark sherried fruits.  Lighter fruitiness, toffees and nutiness on the palate.  It runs dry and you can tell its a high abv.  Its too sweet on the finish but a little water helps tone that down while bringing out more toasted nutty notes.  B/B-

Blind retaste 4 months later:

N: Warm nutiness, crushed peanuts with cinnamon spice

P: Tangy sherry

F: Salted peanuts

N: Young sherry cask notes (slightly sour, acidic), figgy.
P: Spicy and sweet sherry, the palate is actually quite nice.
F: Bitter chocolate.

Starts and ends a bit young, but the middle is quite good.
