Yikes this smells awesome. Freshly baked sweet fruit tarts particularly ripe sweet pineapples and kiwis. Eucalyptus and mints hide behind the fruity exterior. The fruit sweetness is much denser and more concentrated on the palate. Kinda like the sugars in the fruits have caramelized in the oven turning it into a syrup. There's also a bit of leather in there for a twist and the long finish ends with limes and just a hint of bitterness/ wax from red apple skins.
Another great example of the very good and very consistent 1972 distillate from Caperdonich.
N: Sweeeet. Caramel apples and cotton candy. A/A+ on nose. P: Brown sugar oatmeal. Deleicate and easily overshadowed by anything lingering on the palate. Intensely fruity and sweet. Peaches and pears? Solid finish (albeit not the longest) make this a solid dram all around.
