A VERY toned down Phroaig.  Not the smack you in your face iodine and peat but a lighter sweet peat with floral aspects and light malt.  It’s the same on the palate.  Lightly peated with hints of toasted bread and a medium finish that is salty and bitter.  The peat in this is not very crisp, it taste kind of dull.  Its light, maybe too light.  They should have kept this at a higher ABV.

Semi blind retaste: B-

N: Smoked meats, apricots, light iodine notes

P: Tea, herbal with faint peat

F: Briney

n: A dank and earthy peat.  If I had a peat house my son would get timeout in the corner that smelled like this.

p:  Lemon, mold, and a gob of soild.  Not nearly as smoky as the 10 might seem.  The finish stays a while but is a little bit soilly.

N: More sweet than 10yr

P: Not so impressive. Seems much gentler than the 10

F: Sweetness comes through more

Can't help but compare this to the 10yr and the 5 extra years just doesn't do a whole lot extra, in fact, it seems to be a downgrade a bit - but that doesn't say much considering how good the 10 is.
