N: Bourbon cask sweetness with an ethery quality.

P: That sweetness leads the way along with plenty of peat (without the sootiness I don't favor in a lot of Caol Ila's).   A tad hot.
F: Great.  Plenty of sugars to quickly cool things down, smokiness builds at the end.
Nothing too unusual going on here but everything is in just the right proportions.

This entirely hits the spot for a peated treat. Nose is inivitingly smoky and bright, oily, some vegetal notes, hints of decay. Grapefruit as it opens up. Palate is nicely sweet, with semi-citrusy stuff balanced against big peppery coal smoke. Lots of vanilla. Oak says hello but stays controlled. Finish is very lengthy, a mouthful of smoke and coal. Super tasty!

n: A bit briney

p: Salt and red hots. Fiery but a tad one dimensional.  Sort of a amped up low-end Port Ellen.  I was hoping for more.

N:Burning peat, oxidized rubber, black tea, fruity/ floral with black peppers.

P: Briney with spices and a fair bit of wood.  There is a bit of rubber as well but enough to like.

F: Long finish with light notes of sherry
