Low Gap is an unaged wheat whiskey that comes from the makers of Germain-Robin brandies. The abv and vintage vary from bottle to bottle. It is made from matled Bavarian hard wheat.

Nose: No mistaking this for anything but new make, but the nose lacks the rawness of some and has a pleasant softness to it, though it still smells essentially of new make.
Palate: While I'm ever skeptical of unaged whiskey, this one has some decent flavors on the palate. Behind the sweet youth are some fleeting fruit notes, maybe a hint of maple syrup.
The finish is fairly brief.

For unaged whiskey, this is not bad at all, but it's still unaged whiskey. Still, it shows potential and is pleasant enough going down. Now get this into the barrel and give it a few years, and we may have something special.
