In a night where I tried a lot of whiskies, this one stood out. (Thanks Tim!) Notes are accordingly sparse.

Nose - nice Brora! (Didn't I tell you the notes were sparse?) Palate: YUM! Big and fruity. Very long finish. Where's the oak?

Yeah, so they're not the best notes I've ever taken. I was too busy helping myself to re-samples. My recollection is that it stood up to some of the better OB's from the past decade.

UPDATE: Just retasted this in the Clynelish-Brora meeting. Notes forthcoming, but I still really liked it.

Nose: Herbal and floral with lots of vegetal notes. Very different from its sister cask (1424).

Palate: Light fruit, malty notes, a bit watery tasting for its strength.

Chris

Very similar to its sister cask, 1424, but slightly less bright and punchy.
