My heart sinks a little bit every time I have to post a bad review, because I know that someone somewhere put their blood, sweat, and tears into making what I'm trashing. In this instance, though, I don't feel quite as bad... because while the folks over at Indio Spirits are likely to be nice and decent people, I just can't figure out how they chose to bottle this at all... but at least they didn't distill it themselves...

Oily nose. Hint of "Off" bug repellent. And alcoholy alcohol. Ew, not inviting. Palate isn't quite what the nose advertised, thankfully, but it's not good either. Very plain, mostly alcohol and solvent flavors that wash over anything else worth mentioning. Finish is like cheap booze, rubbing alcohol. It's truly difficult for me to drink, and not enjoyable at all. I'm not sure what this was intended for, but I don't think I'd even suggest it for mixing. I think the only thing I like about this is the packaging. (Batch distilled 12/12/99, bottled 7/18/08)
