So light in color.  Interesting to taste as just a bourbon barrel aging.

N: New make, much like the stillroom at Talisker smells. Ocean air, light peat.

P: Raw cocoa, chocolate covered potato chips, turning to salt and vinegar chips.

F: Fades pretty quickly other than the salt and vinegar.

Very good, enjoyable.  Not as well rounded and spicy as other Taliskers, but very enjoyable and appetizing.

Nose:  Salt + faint rotten moss.

Palate: lightly green, briney, and a bit musty.

N:  Peat with overtones of solvent (acetone) and some garage smells, gasoline.  Often I would add the qualifier here of "but the good garage smells" or something, but in this case it's just garage smells.
P: Simple and smokey, leans toward that sooty profile that I don't go ape over.   Still, very nice.
F: Starts to move in my direction with some lemon, salt, and minerals.

Nose of hard water, smoke, and the ocean. Palate is a not-atypical Talisker affair, drinks quite nicely. Finish is quite mineral-y which adds distinction. Strikes me as one for yachting, if I didn't get so damn seasick all the time. You try it and tell me how it fares.  B/B+
