Dry wierd and ugly.  Almost got an F.  Not my style of malt....if you can call it that.  I don't dislike too many malts....but this fit that category.  I didn't think it was the Dr. Evil in the blind session because it was just too .... ugly....although it was my second choice for that distinction.  I really liked this less but I knew what Serge wrote for the Dr. Evil and this just didn't fit the bill.  I will avoid the bottle or serve it to someone I dislike....like I do with the GlenRothes Select Reserve.

n: Almonds, whole wheat bread.  Floral.

p: Semi-sweet flower candy.  Stalks, leather saddle.  Mustiness on the finish.

N: Slightly floral but elusive.
P: Tart citrus with some metallic notes.
F: And that's kinda it.  Grassy.
Um, whatever.   Not much going on here, but it's got a stimulating dry crispness.  I'd take it over the bland sweetness of most blends, but it's not much better.

Okay and indistinct. Vaguely fruity and woody, and woody and chewy. Yep.

This seems to have been Cadenhead's "house style" around 1990.

Light fruit notes with good maltiness.  A bit of citrus as well.

Nose has white wine and pears. Palate is sweet and malty. Very tasty. Finish is slightly bitter with malt.

This is fruity and very drinkable.
