Nose has moderate cherry/berry scents, dijon mustard, tinge of smoke, chocolate. Palate -- ooh -- chocolate, toffee, and that mustard/spice/smoke thing. Medium-sweetness. Quite rich without being too much of anything. There's also something in the background that tastes like I'm chewing on carnations. Hey, I really like this! Finish is long, where the smoke emerges more and sticks around longest, with a little black pepper. Gets dryer in a way that's a nice contrast to the palate. Reveals different characteristics on every few sips.  B+/A-

N: Candy corn, brown sugar, lightly floral, and some herbal notes on the exhale (after drinking).
P: Buttery, fruity, and sweet with a gingery peat registering later with some salty tartness.
F: This is where the peat really comes out, but it's still delicate (and tasty).   Finishes dry and refreshing, I dig this a lot.

N: Caramel or butterscotch.  Not really distict though

P:  Oily and buttery.   Port Ellen less peated .  Honeysuckle, floral.  Hints of cinnamon, and cognac.  Nice.

Nose:  Malt forward with a bit of glue or solvent; some slight smoke at the back which grows stronger until it dominates...sort of a smoked fish type of smoke.

Palate:  Light peat, sweet malty notes with some fruit on the back and a bit of oak.

A nice, lightly peated malt with good balance of sweetness, peat and malt.  B+/A-

Upon the reveal:  wow, shocked that this is 30 years old, still very vibrant and even young seeming, very few older, oaky notes to it.

Warm Peanut brittle nuttiness with tart citrus and a fair bit of salt. Nuttiness is present on the palate with toasted maltiness, toffee, pears and some sherry notes. Finish is a bit briney and lasts a while.
Ries

n: soft and sweet - powdered sugar, dried flower petal, peanut toffee. Cardboard downwind from a grass fire.

t: Honeysuckle with a hint of sweet smoke that appears right after. Sweet malt that has thick seasalt caramel center with some dried flower petals and white pepper. The oak and smoke start to assert in the end. Very interesting how it changes from the start to finish.  [B+/B.]
