N: Butterscotch, dried fruit, and a little smoke lingers underneath.
P: Intensely fruity, mainly peaches, with some peppery spice.�� Very melded together...difficult to pull it apart...but all together wonderful.� Full and mouth-coating fruity nectar.�� I know this is peated but it's very well integrated, the peat only registers as a strong tang / saltiness behind the fruit.
F: The fruit just lasts forever, excellent.

I don't give a lot of straight As and this one may be one of my all time favorites. Strange that this is heavily peated as I found no peat notes at all. What did come through was some amazing spicey sweet bananas and old bay seasonings. Perhaps that's the peat..... The palate is spicey and warming and simply terrific. Some lavender notes with lemon gras in the finish background. The finish lasted for a long time and I kept wanting more of this one. Kicked all of the others the night we tasted blind.

Nose is really peachy. Floral notes, a tinge of smoke, vanilla, hint of chocolate. Palate is a burst of deliciousness! Fruity fruit -- and Fruit Stripe gum again, which I've tasted in a few Benriachs now. Watermelon, granny smiths, nectarines. Also cumin, and now I'm smelling/tasting sandalwood too. Finish is longish. There's a great interplay here between the nearly-fruit-bomb-aspects and light but neato spices. The label says it's peated, but whatever peat is in here doesn't come across as smoke. This is a whisky you can just drink and enjoy at a party (with cask strength warning), or quietly sit and ponder. Winner!!

N: rich, oaky, buttery, sherry.
T: rich, sherry, chocolate.
F: light, long, rich, fruity. Excellent finish.
O: An excellent whisky, although not my preferred style.

Nose is white raisins and bread pudding - quite unique. The palate is figs, dates, and peaches. Light sweet sugar flavors are strong with this one. The finish turns to darker flavors, but still on the lighter side of dried fruits, buttery desserts. I would love to try this side by side with the 76 Benriach from Maison du Whisky -- because that was a favorite of all time. Like this one, it had the unique very sweet flavors, but so refined and enjoyable. Great whisky and so rare to find one with this flavor profile.

Nose: Floral hard candy.
Palate:Bitter, strains the tongue. The nose is misleading.
