Santa Claus holding two bottles of single malt scotch.Twas a couple weeks before Christmas, and The Duke wanted us to try some rare, sherried, single malt Scotch.  These dark-red delights included a collectible Macallan released in 1997 (one of only four whiskies to ever receive at least a 9.5 out of 10 from Whisky Magazine), and two Jim Murray 96-pointers.  Did LAWS find them naughty or nice? As it turns out, even Santa himself would have trouble placing these on anything but his Good List.  Or his Very Good List.

They were a 1982 Teaninich1990 Old PulteneyGlendronach 19681979 Macallan Gran Reserva, and a 1973 Glen Grant.  Then as a twist ending, Lagavulin 21 exemplified sherry and heavy peat.
