I'm going to buck the trend here and say I really like this one. The nose has butterscotch, vanilla, caramel, molasses and also features fresh morning dew and toasted oak. The palate is (as expected) light compared to most of the other BTAC offerings, but is very pleasent: white chocolate and creamy vanilla. Probably would be happier at 50%, but I'm not complaining this year with ER 17. [11/24/2013]

Honey, fresh cut wood and dry grass. Candy corn. A bit thin and dry on the palate. Very astringent mid palate. Mostly corn sweetness and what I would imagine lacquer and varnish would taste like. Bitter finish.
Ries

n: butterscotch candies, gentle rye toast with butter, hayfield on a summer day. Bit of vegetal (wet grass), spearmint gum, and peanut butterbrickle.

t: sweet charred corn, leather, and brown butter. Mint and evergreen in the middle. Finish is vanilla and caramel with a nice layer of oak but runs a little dull quickly. It's a bit thin and light in the body.

[B., but not a big jump over the standard 10 year]
