N: A really nice spice and scent mix with dried fruits and hints of fig and wood you'd expect on something this old; a touch of balsamic vinegar, but with a lighter side. There's a familiar slight varnish and old wood, but dried fruits are lighter - apricot, orange, a hint of peach. Faint dark rum also.

P: Nice and dense without being too syrupy on the palate. A little light tobacco hint, some orange, a little gentle mulling spice, a super faint dusting of white pepper, good dose of old wood, a little furniture polish. Some hints of toffee and caramel.

F: White pepper leads; soft wood behind it. There's almost a claylike quality. All kinds of nice, sweet, gently spiced dried fruits - apricots, peach, some nectarine. A touch dry.

Fantastic. Recognizeably Glenfarclas and really good old Glenfarclas at that, but it brings something new to the table.
