Nose:  lots of malt, a little bit flat.

Palate:  Very solid, straightforward, lightly sherried malt.

Finish:  Sherry moves to the forefront on the finish.

Very nice, straight ahead sherried malt.  Highly drinkable.

N: Wood polish, teak, honeycomb.
P: Hey now, big funky fruit.   Rich and spicy.   Very creamy / silky mouth feel.
F: Green wood, a little weak at 40% but still enough life in it to be quite enjoyable.

N: Vague rubberiness underpins some fruit and malt. A little dusty, a bit woody. Some oats and grains. Feels like it might have aired out a bit and lost some pep?

P: Fairly ful and mouth-coating. Has an earthy melon rind flavor that reminds me of Old Pulteney 12. Light wood and slight bitterness. Apples, waxy notes Gently warming.

F: The earthy notes come through first. Warming, somewhat drying, though there is a strong toffee and grain.

Certainly drinkable, but the earthy/dusty/melon rind thing bumps this out wanting to own. That makes this a solid, drinkable-but-not-ownable B-.

Very sweet almost like cherry cough syrup. Theres lots of wood notes here that's more like bourbon, but there's also sherry notes. The palate follows suit. Very sweet and woody. More like raisins and black cherries with a bit of wax. There's a hint of spice in the finish that fades early.

n:  Plum skin (faint)

p:  Thin.  Slightly earthy and waxy with a long middle.  Very Japanese-ish.  Good but over-watered
