N: Light and fruity, a hint of smoke.
P: Hey now!  That's really good!  Big fruity profile with peaches and plums dominating, along with a ginger-like spice.   Actually reminds me a tad of the Benriach 1976 from LMDW.
F: Clean, more fruit.

Light wifty notes of sherry with a minty finish.  Weak and simple speysider.

N: Sweet sherry, light caramel, orange rind

P: Light, gets richer like sugard coated dates

F: Light and quick.  Pleasant.

Nose: cider, armagnac.
Taste: not much happening, unless you like nothingness followed by a bad burn -- if so, this one's for you.

I really expected more from this one (what with the cutting edge toasted heads and all).  Not much of anything on the nose, followed by some apple cider and faint smoke and a short/sweet finish.  Nothing to see here -- move on folks.

Nose... hmm, it makes me ponder... some scents just make me do that. Berries, cherries, wisps of brownies. Initially a slight off note (mildly farty), but that vanishes as the whisky opens up. On the palate, my initial impression is, "Well, I wouldn't call it a 'Spice Tree.'" There are definitely spices in here like ginger, clove, and traces of cardamom, but they're all very mild, and blend in with a medium cherry-apple sweetness, resulting in more of a fruity sorta-sweet experience. In the finish is where the "spice" becomes the most proment -- but having tried many truly spicey whiskies, this seems to be slightly misnamed. All that aside, it's nonetheless a tasty whisky.  Oh hey -- interesting -- on the bottle label, for the flavor profile, it lists simply "Hints of clove, cardamom, and ginger." I must have been channeling John Glaser's mouth on this one.  (Eww?)
