N: Burnt and rubbery, did someone just shoot a gun?  Nutmeg, cinnamon sticks.
P: Very full sweet nectar with balanced dry citrus and some bowmore-esque herbal cough drop notes.  Stunning.
F: Clean and uplifting, finishes with a little burnt sugar.   Leather and floor polish in the nose on exhale.

Aggressive woodiness that seeps into the toungue before hitting an herbal finish.

Oooh... the nose is sweet and nectary, with oak notably present, leather, and assorted sugars.  The palate is full and oaky, yet that oakyness isn't at all annoying.  Wow, this really hits the spot!  There's layers of sweetness intermingling with the oak, slowly unfolding and re-folding back over themselves (if that makes any sense).  It's a real pleasure to drink, there's so much flavor yet it never loses any drinkability, as can happen in other older, richer whiskies.  A great anytime, any occasion whisky... darn that price!  (batch 2LBF801 tasted)

The nose on this was spectacular.  Earthy nutty and fabulous sherry sweets.  The raisins are really noticable and I heard someone (Mole?) say truffles which made sence considering the earthy nuts and sweets.  Unfortunately the palate just didn't hold up to the nose.  Still very good but I was thinking this was an A after the nose.  Still gets an A- but only just.  On a second taste...yeah right....I might take this down a notch.  But it is certainly great whisky.

Nose is port like, with raisin bread toast.  Great to just nose! Palate is cherries and butter.  The finish is long, hot and deep.  Mmmmmm.
