The nose has heavy rye notes and caramel. The palate has some dark caramel notes without being too sweet, then some spice which continues into a peppery finish. This one was great with a great balance of sweetness and spice.

n:  Nice

p:  Watery, leather, quick finish

B/B+

Note:  The Very Olde St. Nick line was sampled swiftly during a busy tasting.  To add to the difficulty, they were all simple and boring making notes difficult.  The ratings were easily placed, however.

This is my favorite of the VOSN bourbon lineup, at least of those I've tasted. B/B+
