Ries

n: bit-o-honey bar, toffee, fresh printed cardboard. Spiced frosting animal crackers, and waxy lemon polish. Full of cereal malt and heather with a tease of faint smoke.

t: hay and wet green grass with a light sweet side (simple syrup). Bright and brassy with nutmeg spice and a hot finish that goes a little flat after a few sips. Still honeysuckle sweet and grassy with a bit of mouth drying cedar-wood ash at the very end. Monochromatic.

low B-.

Fuji

N: Bourbon cask sweetness (vanilla, toffee) with rusty metal and eucalyptus wood notes.

P: Starts off salty with mixed fruit and used tea leaves.  Herbal grassy stuff.  The hot finish is dry and astringent

Sku

Nose:  Herbal, mint, floral

Palate: Herbal, vegetal, some sweetness

Finish: Peppery

Solid amber. The nose is a little haggard and musty, with plenty of weeds and grass. Very fresh with some lemon. The palate is a little more chalky. Satisfying finish. [7/25/14]

Sweet, floral, hay, grass, gets mineraly as it opens up. Some unusual but nicely rounded flavors in here. Finish is hot and fairly lengthy.

Nice stuff, but something in the finish pushes me away a little more than I'd like. B-/B

n:  Meh.

p:  Bit hot and indistinct.  Decent but not special.
