Nose of apples, caramel, and laundry detergent powder (yes, my glassware is impeccably clean and scent-free... trust me).  Palate is quite sweet and honeyed, with medium-spice levels and rye flavors.  Green apples stick out, too.  Finish is lengthy, and the heat lingers.  The bourbon falls apart a little here.  But this is a good, inexpensive bourbon that has real flavor while still being accessible to all.

Nose:  A nice nose of oak and leather with strong apple/pear notes, to the point where I might have guessed it was apple brandy just going by the nose.
Palate: Sweet at the start with those apple notes but then turns a bit flat, winding up with citrus notes.  Tasting blind, I thought this was a wheater for the lack of much in the way of spice and the citrus notes.
Finish: Fleeting finish but with a nice oak to it.  Not bad.
Ries

Flat alcohol, light white sugar, paint thinner, very sharp. Slight peach note in chalky finish.  C-/C
