Bottled from barrels drawn from the middle to upper floors of the traditional metal clad rickhouses. It is the original Small Batch Bourbon, having been made available even before the term was invented.

The bourbon brand was named in honor of Reverend Elijah Craig (1738/1743 – May 18, 1808), who was a Baptist preacher, born in Virginia, who became an educator and entrepreneur in the area of Virginia that later became the state of Kentucky.

Ries

n: buttery toffee, scalded cream of corn, and sweet candied peanuts. Light bit of cinnamon, wood chips, and wet cardboard.

t: Molasses sweetened corn bread, vanilla mint toothpick, and some sharp cinnamon. This has a lighter mouthfeel, that gets alcoholy and hot in middle. Quick, thin finish of dry wood and toasted corn chips. Not complex, but it is a decent value bourbon.  [B-/C+]
