Nose:  Sweet malty notes, pineapple, bing cherries, wet grass.
Palate:  malt forward but some slightly grainy notes (a blend?), corn syrup.
Finish:  Very light and short.

This is the type of profile I would probably really like at higher proof.  As is, it's pleasant and drinkable.

I tasted this (and made the above notes) blind and was pretty surprised to find out what it was.  JW has chutzpah to charge this much for this stuff.

N: Malty and gentle, with some light-to-medium peat with a faintly rubbery tang. Pepper, light pineapple, and slight butteriness. Light floral notes develop. Vanilla.

P: Light in the mouth. White pepper, faint cinnamon. A bit of rubber and malt. Slightly buttery. Slight grain.

F: Nice pepper and faint chili oil. Malty and with a bit of hay. Reasonable finish.

This is much better than the standard Blue with more nuance. It's still light, but the pepper and peat give it depth that are missing from Blue.

n:  Malty.  Bit of sliced wheat bread wih honey.

p: Buttered bread (untoasted).  Really it's a lot like most averagey bourbon cask $55 single malt.  Not bad, but, whatever.
