A South Korean brand, the Scotch Blue line was introduced in late 1997, and has since expanded to some other Asian countries. It has quite a following in South Korea (there are also age-statement bottlings).  Parent company Lotte Chilsung says "this high-end premium whiskey appeals to the palate of Koreans who like their whiskey straight up.  It has a mild flavor and aroma."

Retail price is uncertain due to lack of fluency in Korean.

Nose of light caramel and vanilla, not particularly "scotchy"

Palate is so light that I'm not even sure what's here. A faint and pleasant vanilla-butter thing… but so faint. The finish is medium-short and a decent amount of alcoholy stuff enters here, taking over by the end, getting rather objectionable after some time with the glass.  That's the blight on an otherwise innocuous if rather flavorless experience…

I'm curious to try the Scotch Blue age-statement whiskies.  This isn't terrible stuff, and I have a feeling it achieves very much of what its makers intend.

N: Nail polish remover, no. 2 pencils.
P: This is just all grain, rather tasteless, but certainly drinkable.
F: Blah.
If you drink this regularly, you are part of the problem.   Stop being part of the problem, you organoleptic lackey.
