Nose of sherry, with a tinge of sugary gunpowder. Palate is moderately sweet, medium-to-quite-sherried, tasty but not excellent. Sugary-sherried-spicy-nutmeg whisky. Some tarragon. Orangey. Finish is lengthy with oranges again, sherry remnants. Good but slight sulfur keeps full enjoyment down.  B/B+

N: A burnt and dirty sherry, a little (real little) whiff of the familiar old Springbank rubber underneath.
P:  Very sherried (brush your teeth kinda stuff), but not too sweet, more of a custard-like profile.  Very good.
F:  Relatively dry with some candy fruit (like Runts) lingering.
I was secretly hoping this was just a lower proof version of the famous 100 proof "double-dark" 12 year old, but it's not the same profile at all.  Nonetheless, a tasty whisky.

Nose:  An unfortunate nose of sherry and rubber.
Palate:  Big sherry, lots of fruit but it devolves into its rubbery undertones, like a wino in galoshes, with a mostly rubbery finish.

Oversherried and unpleasant.  I know some people like this flavor profile, but I just don't.  (See Ichiro's Malt 8 of Diamonds).
