Nose hits with full sherry, lots of dried apricots, some nutmeg.. Not a terribly complex nose but I'm intrigued nonetheless.... Hmmm... palate is mildly sweet, with a gentle and flat-ish spice presence -- meaning not a lot of roundness to the spices here, kind of just a general spicy mouthfeel. That's on a platform of semi-chewy oak and something like light raisins and tinges of dried cherries. Spices crescendo in the finish, with a slow fade, becoming dryer. All told, you're not missing a whole lot here in my opinion. A subdued sipper that doesn't knock my socks off, but is certainly darn enjoyable.  B/B+
