Well how about that, it smells like dry wheat!  As a big fan of wheated bourbons I had high hopes for this, but increasing the wheat percentage in this case doesn't increase the enjoyment.  It's got a promising profile, but its to young and rough and ultimately I don't feel drawn back to the glass.  I'd love to try a long aged version in the future.

On the nose there is some syrupy, Bourbony aroma, but also wood and wood polish. If I nosed it blind I would guess either at Bourbon or Scotch single grain, both of which sometimes include wheat, so that is sensible enough. 

On the palate, it definitely reminds me of Scotch grain whiskies I've had. It's got a bit of sweetness but is not overwhelmingly so; the whiskey is very smooth with an underlying oak and a deep savory note at the end, which is similar to what I get in the more aged wheated bourbons.  B/B+
