Nose is all Talisker.  Salt, wood, sawdust, cardboard box. Palate adds salt and pepper. The finish lets it down.  Not as good as the 10. Probably good after dinner drink.

n:  Don't have a Tal 10 to compare at the moment but the 175th is either on par or slightly less.  Perhaps more peat.

p:  Nothing to write home about (but apparently something to write LAWS about).  Peppery with a bit to much solvent.  Finish is worthless.  Not feelin' it.  Pass the 10.

Blind: lots of iodine, semi sweet syrup, with a good a mount of salt and bread.  Not much going on. C+/B-
Ries

n: Leather gloves, dry wood, foggy beach brine. Faint smoke and marmite.

t: Creamy malt and vanilla character (heavy bourbon barrel influence), smoked leather, and grey sea salt. Spicy and sweet finish, lingers nicely but not very deep. Easy to drink, a bit softer than 10yr.  [B/B-]

Nose is fruity malty. Palate is salty/peaty with just a slight sweetness. Finish has mild peat.
