How to Use This Website

THE MAIN WHISKEY LIST is the heart of our website. The picklists at the top can filter the list by whisky types (bourbon, single malts, etc). And, you can sort your results by clicking column headers. It's a great tool to use when you're searching for a particular distillery, doing research, looking for bargains, and so forth.

For instance, if you're looking to browse whiskies within a certain price range, sort the list by price. If you want to quickly see all our best or worst-rated whiskies, you can sort by rating. If you need to see a quick list of all the Bruichladdichs we've reviewed, click to letter "B."

Clicking any whiskey name in the Main Whiskey List will open a popup with various members' tasting notes and ratings. Note that you don't need to close the popup each time -- when you pick a new whisky, that popup will refresh itself (and no new popup will open). The popup will also stay wherever you move it. You can also choose "multiple popups" -- it's a good way to compare similar whiskies, for instance.

FINDING THE NEWEST WHISKIES: To find the newest whiskies we've reviewed and rated (as opposed to whiskies that have been on-site for awhile, but that another member has just entered new notes for) there are two main methods. One is to Browse Recently Added whiskies. The other is to filter the Main Whisky List by date (past week, past month, etc).

FINDING WHISKIES BY RATING: There are two main ways to do this. You can Browse by Rating, or sort the Main Whisky List by the "Average Rating" column. And, if you find that your tastes particularly line up with one member's reviews, you can filter the list by whiskies that only that member has tasted -- and then sort by either average ratings or that member's personal ratings.

FINDING WHISKIES ALPHABETICALLY: Seriously, by this point you still can't figure out a couple ways to do it?
